Skincare and makeup are both very important parts of looking your sissy best. The trouble is that there are so many different types of skin care products and makeup, it can get overwhelming and you can end up with a lot of products you don’t need or don’t work for you.
To keep your sissy self from getting too overwhelmed, it is best to start with a few sissy skin care and makeup essentials and build from there. The items below are basic skincare and makeup essentials all sissies should have.
One of the most important things to consider when deciding which products to purchase is the ingredient list. Unfortunately, some of the most popular skincare and makeup products contain more toxic chemicals and carcinogens than you can imagine.
Before making any purchases, do your homework. Take a look at the labels and check the ingredients against the EWG Skin Deep database to see whether or not they are harmful. Avoid purchasing anything with ingredients EWG has listed as harmful or potentially harmful.
All of the items listed below can be used/worn even when not in sissy mode. This will help you feel feminine and girly, even in your masculine clothes, without having to worry about being discovered.
Skin Care Essentials
Body Scrub – A good quality loofah and all natural body scrub such as a Dead Sea salt scrub, a sugar scrub, or a coffee scrub are essential for exfoliation. I highly recommend going the DIY route here, rather than purchasing pre-made scrubs. There are some great DIY body scrub recipes that are simple to make and you won’t have to worry about harmful chemicals. You should do a full body exfoliation at least twice a week.
Lip Scrub – It is important to keep the lips exfoliated and free of dead, dry skin so your tinted lip balm, gloss, or lipstick will go on smoothly and evenly. You can purchase scrubs specifically for the lips, but any of the DIY body scrubs above work quite nicely as a lip scrub.
Facial Cleanser – Facial cleanser is really only necessary if you’re removing makeup. If you’re wearing makeup, take a dollop of organic coconut oil and smear it all over your face, neck, and even eye lashes. Remove coconut oil with a microfiber cloth and warm water.
If you aren’t wearing makeup, no need to use the coconut oil, just use the microfiber cloth with warm water morning and night.
Body Lotion – Body lotion should be used daily after your bath or shower. This is especially important if you’ve just exfoliated. If you exfoliate without applying lotion afterward, you’ll make your skin drier. You definitely don’t want that!
Peppermint Foot Lotion – Peppermint foot lotion isn’t necessarily a requirement but it helps rejuvenate tired, achy feet at the end of the day while it keeps them soft and supple.
Makeup Essentials
Tinted Moisturizer – All sissies should be wearing tinted moisturizer every day. Tinted moisturizer evens out skin tone while moisturizing and keeping your skin soft and supple without being obvious that you are wearing foundational makeup.
Tinted Lip Balm or Gloss (preferably pink) – Wearing lightly tinted lip balm or gloss will make your lips look pretty without looking like you are wearing anything. Make sure you keep your lips properly exfoliated, though, or the balm/gloss will go on patchy and look terrible.
Pale Pink Blush Powder – For daily wear, make sure you pick a very pale pink colored blush, so as not to look obvious. If you choose a light enough color, you’ll just look like you have naturally rosy cheeks without looking like you are wearing makeup.
Translucent finishing powder – Translucent finishing power will help set your tinted moisturizer and pink blush while giving you a smoother-looking complexion.
Clear Conditioning Mascara – Clear conditioning mascara will help strengthen and lengthen your lashes without looking like you are wearing anything. If you wear this as part of your daily routine, when you get ready to put on full-face makeup, your lashes will look much longer and sexier.
Tools and Accessories
Nail file – You should keep your nails clean and neatly-filed at all times. Nothing ruins feminine-looking hands like having dirt under the nails and/or uneven, scraggly nails.
Buffing Block – Even if you can’t keep your nails polished for fear of being discovered, there is no reason you can’t keep them buffed to a nice shine. This goes for both fingers and toes.
Clear Nail Polish – You should always have clear nail polish on your toenails and even on your fingernails, if possible. Clear polish will strengthen and condition your nails, which is important if you want them to look pretty when you finally do get a chance to put some pretty pink or racy red polish on them.
Pumice Stone – A pumice stone is a must-have essential for pretty feet. What’s the point of having a pretty pedicure if your feet are calloused and dry? Definitely NOT a good look! Use your pumice stone every time you exfoliate; more often if your feet are especially calloused and dry.
Tweezers – Tweezers are important for shaping your eyebrows. Even when you have to wear your boy clothes and be your masculine self, you should always have neatly trimmed and nicely shaped eyebrows. Shaped and trimmed eyebrows look nice on everybody; male or female. Besides, nobody wants to see a sissy with Andy Rooney eye brows!
Eye Lash Curler – You should curl your lashes every morning before using the clear conditioning mascara. This will help separate and curl them so the conditioning mascara can permeate each lash and do its job.
Foundation brush – You’ll need a foundation brush to apply the translucent powder. Make sure to get an all natural brush instead of one made from synthetic materials.
Blush brush – You’ll need a blush brush to apply your pale pink blushing powder. Do not try to cut corners and use the same brush for both blush and foundation. The colors will bleed and your face will look like a hot mess instead of having defined cheekbones and a nice even skin-tone.
There you have it, sissy gurls. These are the must-have basic skin-care and makeup essentials all sissies should have.

What a perfect and so very helpful guide as I check off the things I have And get ready to shop for the rest of the items thank you
Hi Hunter. Hope you had a nice weekend. I just wanted to thank you for your blog post on Sissy Skin Care and Makeup Essentials in the Sissy Style Magazine. It looks like you posted it almost a year-and-a-half ago, so I’m not sure why it took me this long to see it.
I thought you brought out some excellent points. I appreciate you including the link to the DIY body scrub receipts. Which one of the receipts would you recommend? Do you apply the body scrub in the shower or in the bath?
As far as skin care, I use a lip scrub, facial cleanser, and body lotion. I haven’t tried a peppermint foot scrub. Do you find the scent of the peppermint overpowers the scent of your body lotion? I like the vanilla and lavender lotion, body spray, and perfume from Soma.
Regarding makeup essentials, I use an untinted day cream (and night cream). However, my foundation is tinted. I also use lipstick. I’ll have to experiment with some pink gloss. I’m already using some pink tinted blush, and clear eyelash primer. I also occasionally use a translucent finishing powder or finishing spray.
As far as tools, I have a nail file, tweezers, foundation and blush brushes, eyelash curler, and clear nail polish (that I use occasionally). Thank you for the recommendation of the buffing block and pumice stone. I’ll have to try those.
Thank you again for your excellent article.
Sounds like you have a pretty good routine going! Good job, keep it up! I have used all of the body scrubs at different times. It’s fun to try them all and find your favorites, especially since they all have different purposes. I have typically apply the scrub in the shower, though there’s no reason it can’t be applied in the bath, as well!
Thank you so much, Mistress Hunter! For some of us, we are so new to the world of feminization, and it can be so very intimidating and overwhelming!! Thank you for this list and for your help in getting started along the path to being a better sissy!
Yes, there is a lot to learn and discover as you go through your sissification journey… don’t worry, you’ll have some specific skin care and makeup assignments in the future. Maybe something to look forward to!?
